I decided to take photos of the falling snow, remembering that it had given some interesting effects before, seen on other peoples photos. Those photos however had pure dots of snow, because a normal flash was used. Using a nightshot mode, I could take photos that were flashed, but also still had a second or two of open shutter time. You can see the snowflakes themselves, captured by the flash, and the streaks of light reflected off of the falling snowflakes, captured by an external constant lightsource.
